Buffalo Rifle Propellant – Optimized for Straight-Walled Rifle Cartridges
Buffalo Rifle propellant is designed for straight-walled rifle cartridges and is perfect for reduced recoil and energy loads in nearly all rifle applications. It’s especially beneficial for chambers where the bullet diameter closely matches the internal case diameter, such as the .38-55 Winchester, .45-70 Gov’t, and various Schuetzen calibers.
Whether you’re shooting cast lead or jacketed bullets, Buffalo Rifle propellant expands the versatility of hunting rifles. This propellant burns consistently, even with low loading densities in standard rifle loads, thanks to its unique surface design. It contains no burn rate modifiers, ensuring reliable ignition, especially in long-throated chambers and when using cast lead bullets.
Despite being an extruded propellant, Buffalo Rifle offers excellent flow characteristics through a volumetric powder dump due to its narrow, short-cut grains. While some reloaders prefer weighing each charge, this isn’t necessary with Buffalo Rifle powder.
